Take time to listen....

There's nothing better than knowing you are speaking to someone who is really listening and paying attention to your feelings, thoughts and ideas. You can be a mother, best friend, wife, husband, brother, sister, teacher, co-worker, boss, a customer service representative the list goes on, but when a person pays attention to that one person speaking, it is a very powerful moment. It is not easy to be consciously present in the moment of someone speaking to you because at times there are many distractions and we have busy lives with so much on our minds, -- but we do need to stop and remember it is one of the human qualities we have as individuals that sets us apart from all other living creatures. It is a wonderful and unforgettable experience when you feel you're being understood and it builds a strong connection that unfolds into many facets of truly successful business opportunities and sets the path to long lasting relationships. A good listener is always appreciated and valued and it's a skill that some need to work on harder than others, but no matter what level...there's always time to make time and really listen.

So many wonderful friends, family, teachers and business partners to thank. It goes without saying that there are many relationships to be grateful for and those that have helped me to see and appreciate what I would not have otherwise experienced alone. Relationships have brought me feelings of joy, sadness, strength, endurance, attitude, and a whole lot of well being. I am blessed to be surrounded by amazing people in my life and I am very fortunate to share so many on going life experiences together with each of them. They have allowed me to be a better person and at times given me the chance to see a different perspective, a new way of acceptance and a new me too! Cheers to friendship!

Lead by Example

There's so many different types of role models to choose from in this big world. I look up to my children who still look up to me. They inspire me to want to share more, be playful and be honest about what I say and do. At the end of the day, it's about loving what you do, be respectful and appreciate what you have, not what you don't have. I appreciate my husband, my children, my close friends and family, my teachers, my professors, and my business partners too. They've set many examples in my life that have recharged and made me who I am today. Regardless of age, religion or race, we all  deserve to be appreciated because we all have something to offer to ourselves and to each other. Like so many lives who truly do care and see the value in human relationships, its working together and being a positive mentor that's important to do and to be mindful that we lead by example, at home or at work, it's life.

The Story of Stuff

The Story of Stuff

This story brings a simple yet powerful message that delivers truth and honest facts about our stuff. I'm very grateful to my friend Anna for sharing this with me, so now I want to pass it along to you too!
