What act of kindness will you give today?

Kindness is defined as "a kind, considerate or helpful act". - Collins English Dictionary
World Kindness Day is November 13 ~ Kindness Can Change The World

When was the last time a stranger gave you a smile? How did that make you feel? There is a very special feeling one has when receiving a genuine act of kindness and the flip side too, offering an act of kindness is So rewarding because it is a heart felt act of communication.  Since kindness is a universal sign, it can be practiced anywhere in the world, at anytime and has a powerful ripple effect that duplicates too!

See what happens next time you smile at a stranger --- do they smile back? Maybe they'll smile at the next person they see and so on.....

Kindness doesn't need to be "top of mind" because the holidays may soon be approaching; It is a practice to perform at least once a day and be a part of who we are as teachers, professionals, family members and individuals. What act of kindness did you do yesterday and what act of kindness will you do today?

Here are some alternative acts of kindness that I wanted to share with you. I hope you will add to the list so we can learn from your experiences too. Let's pass it forward together....

1) Hold the door for the two persons behind you.
2) Listen to someone who needs to talk. Just listen to them.
3) Put change in a parking meter or a vending machine.
4) Buy a meal for a homeless person.
5) When shopping, let someone go ahead of you in the checkout line.
6) Rake someone's yard.
7) Read to a child.
8) Make a wish come true.
9) Compliment the neighborhood garbage man.
10) Stop by and help someone who has a broken car.

Please share your favorite act(s) of kindness and....

A+ = Help People.....

...reach their full potential. Catch them doing something right    ~ K. Blanchard Ph.D., S. Johnson M.D.

Okay, so when was the last time you received positive reinforcement from your boss or manager? Was it at your annual review? Was it last week or did he/she say, "Great job" right on the spot, or perhaps it was after you took a step that lead you in the direction of your personal business goal?

"Catch them doing something right" - This is a very simple technique, and one that I believe works because it continually develops a person's mind set and encourages one to reach their short and long term goals. Think of how you encourage a toddler to start stepping and learning to walk.  Same strategy but different age group ;-) The technique helps to support a person with self-motivation plus it inspires them to work towards a job that is truly fulfilling and results in a rewarding experience. Who doesn't want that? I sure do and love being a part of it every day!

It's wonderful to go to work, (I work from home), and participate in celebrating every day the wonderful work that so many of us "work at home ceos" have accomplished towards reaching our personal and financial goals throughout the day, week and month at a time!!  Not just a once a year review. What job do you know does that? Plus, your not only helping yourself, but your helping others along the way to reach and make their goals turn into a reality too!!!   To be surrounded by a support team that genuinely  wants to see you reach your personal goals is certainly not as common as it should be in the work place....and if you're lucky enough to be a part of that already then congratulations to you because that is a wonderful place to be!

I wish you lots of success and if you're reading this and feel this is a bunch of fluff, then I invite you to join me for a free webcast and see if this company is a good fit for you and how I can help you achieve your goals. As so many would agree, this is a job that can be supplementing your current income and requires you to try it at no risk - it's about you!

To your health and success!!

What's in your DNA?

Enjoy this wonderful illustration of ones' perceptions from Simple Truths...please take a look and listen.
Throughout my life and those I've met, life's challenges come at all times, in all shapes and sizes. There are those of us who choose to perceive possibilities or solutions, and there are those who choose to perceive problems or obstacles. Which one are you?

I'm sure most of us would agree, it's not always clear to see positive alternatives when there are some obvious possibilities to choose from, or one does not realize what is right in front of you when it's facing you head on. However, with careful perception, if you decide to focus your mind on a positive alternative to produce a positive outcome - you will have a greater chance to enjoy your own life's experiences in the present moment and the future. The more I practice this with my own work and relationships, the better I feel both physically and mentally.

Again, life is always about choices. With a positive attitude, one also avoids resistance that leads to stress and like so many people I've met with positive DNA's, one also begins to look forward to finding more solutions throughout our lives and maintains a better well being because of it! What's your DNA - I'd love to here from you!

Partnership - Where do you fit in?

I am so very proud of my team mates and grateful to be a part of such a wonderful partnership.

The truth is - We all deserve to achieve greatness in so many areas of our lives, but it is certainly not always a clearly defined path. Listen to these encouraging words from John Maxwell, a message to us all, especially to those who are searching for the right opportunity, it may just be a click away!

How do you do something grape for your heart?

Like so many other's I've talked to - once you do something kind, either for someone else or for yourself and it feels like the right thing to do...You feel good about it inside and that does improve your inner strength! There are those of us who also challenge our own physical and inner strengths with discipline and determination through meditation, yoga, exercise and more; but eating proper foods to help maximize our own body's well-being is probably one of the most important ways we can feel good about ourselves.
With so many choices to help improve your health and heart, I've learned that the combination of exercise and proper nutrition is key. I want to share this because you probably already know that this is true, but how often do you do something grape for your heart? Daily, weekly, monthly or whenever?
I'm excited to share my experience with you because I feel better and more in control of my own health now than ever before. I've started to take better care of what I eat, how often I exercise and proudly add to my diet - daily nutritional supplements that truly compliment my lifestyle and have made a difference giving me more energy and a positive outlook! Even my PCP has noticed that my blood levels and overall health are better than ever :-)
I'd love to hear what you do to feel that you do something grape for your heart and how often? So please share a tip or two. If you want to know more about my amazing grape health discovery, please send me an email or comment so I can follow you back with details!

When is your family meal time?

As a busy mom, It's so easy to find ourselves caught up in our daily multi-tasks and with each family member having an endless "to do" list that demands a response at the speed of lightning. If this sounds familiar then it's really important to stop and ask ourselves:  When do we devote 15-30 minutes in our busy schedules to sit with family and enjoy each others company over a meal?

There is something special about being able to sit together at a meal, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner with the family. One of the many important things I've learned as a parent is to take quality time aside and make it a daily habit to create a family meal moment that brings everybody together without any interruptions.  If we stop and consider the value of 20-30 minutes each day with our family, we will build priceless opportunities that will encourage healthy communication and lead to a stronger family connection. This social habit is not only a way to develop one's social skills in life but if you think about it, it also improves to strengthen the family's relationship as a unit. For us, a family meal moment is a time and place that everyone can relax, enjoy and help comfort one another. It's a therapeutic way to block out everything else and just be in the moment with each other, no matter what.

Sometimes we may not want to sit, eat and talk, but even the simple act of being present and physically involved in a family meal gathering not only promotes family values but it also creates self- discipline.  So whether it's left overs or hot pancakes for dinner, or my personal favorite is pizza night - It's time to make time to get in the habit of sharing family time over a meal at home and doing it together! (no TV, phone calls, texting, etc.)
What's your favorite family meal of the day and which is the most popular item on the menu? I'd love to share your experiences and hear what meal time works best for you and your family!

When was the last time you enjoyed cleaning a bathroom or kitchen?

Like so many of us, I've always dreaded the task of having to clean the bathroom and kitchen areas especially because when using kitchen/bathroom soap products to help sanitize, scrub down mildew, remove odors, disinfect and cut grease, etc. I would literally start to feel light headed and dizzy. To try and avoid these horrible fumes, I would sometimes even hold my breadth in order to not breath in the toxic vapors that were being outgassed throughout my home while trying to clean these areas. Have you known someone to be in this similar situation?  Of course, some choose to leave their windows open and ventilate the kitchen or bathroom areas;  However, not everyone has a nearby window option.  Or another option to consider, like I did, was to start using Eco-Sense products and experience the amazing difference. I love not having to use harmful chemicals or inhaling harsh fumes in order to get my cleaning job done right!!  Since I've switched to better and safer products I honestly enjoy cleaning my kitchen and bathrooms and don't dread having to do these tasks anymore. It sounds crazy, but I'm living proof of this life changing experience. I don't need to have the windows open when it's freezing outside just because I have to clean and disinfect. It also makes me feel better knowing my family is not falling victim to the in-door air pollution that was so prevalent before I started using my Eco-Sense products. I love the way the products work and compliment each other, I feel better knowing that I am contributing to making a smarter choice for our environment, for our health, our home and especially for our household budget!  I'm sharing this story because it's been a huge improvement in my household and I'd encourage you to switch to making a difference for yourself - having a non-toxic home makes all the difference and I wish I had learned about Eco-Sense 25 years ago!

What questions to ask when making a decision for a home based business

When searching for a home business opportunity, be sure to first, get the facts and see if it's a good fit for you. Some important questions to ask when looking to partner with a home business are:

  1. Gather as much information as you can.
  2. Find a business with a solid track record - no less than 15 years.
  3. Is company continually being awarded by prestigious institutions i.e BBB
  4. Be sure that the company is financially sound and is run by experienced managers and leaders.
  5. Be sure there is a real product, not just a gimmick.
  6. Be sure there is a high customer reorder rate.
  7. Check if people make their money from sign-up fees or inventory loading because it might be illegal.
  8. Ask yourself "Does this make sense?"
  9. Ask yourself, "Is there any substance to their claims?" Be wary if they will not substantiate their income and product claims in writing.
I wish you lots of business success and welcome your feedback!

Chasing The Cancer Answer clips

The profit margins by major companies seems to be outweighing the responsibility for our families health.  80-90% of cancers are environmental, very few are genetic!  Basically, a chemical is innocent until proven guilty, Once again, wonderful to know that there are safer alternatives out there.

A quote to remember...

You often hear,
"Be bold, Take a leap!"
Sometimes you should.
Other times there's a better idea.
"Take a step."
